Sun above sea,
Greenery and water is all we could see.
The kettuvallams were fun to be on,
All of us looking around to find something interesting to crayon.
Crossing villages that were in the water,
And, seeing the innocent smile on faces that cried for bread and butter.
Through the narrow canals,
We steered, as we sipped on the toddy,
Got down to us by the locals.
This is where we got to think,
About the saying,
“Water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink”!
